| When
visiting a foreign count ry it is always
a good idea to learn some words. You probably won't need
to use much if you stick to the main tourist destinations.
However, the Thai people you encounter will be impressed
for sure if you try and use a little Thai with them. Before
you start, I need to warn you that Thai is a tonal language
so unless you "sing" the word in exactly the
right way you probably won't be understood. That is why
learning Thai from a phrase book and some web sites is
a waste of time. Throughout this web site you will be
able to listen to me speaking Thai. You will also see
a pronunciation guide using Roman letters. If you are
serious about learning Thai then please take the time
to learn to Read Thai.
The
following are the main sections we have for learning Thai
phrases. New words are added all the time. If you want
to learn more about grammar then please visit "Learn
